We've been busy!

We are really getting in to the swing of our normal routine!  We have started Shared Reading and our first unit in Social Studies, both of which focus on COMMUNITY.  We have been brainstorming lists of 'seed ideas' in our Writers' Notebooks for Writing Workshop. Can you think of any great ideas for stories your child might want to write?  (holidays, pet stories, school stuff, best/worst memories, trips you've taken...) We have also been learning lots of new math games and working hard to build our Read to Self stamina. We even tried out our first STEM challenge by working as a group to "Save Sam." It was a great kick-off to Habit #2 - have a plan in mind!  It's been busy in our classroom...enjoy some of our recent pictures!
